Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the McDonough School of Business and a faculty affiliate of the Department of Government at Georgetown University. My research interests include the political economy of development, digital economy, and emerging markets (especially China).
My research has been funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Weiss Family Program Fund, the Clausen Center of UC-Berkeley, the Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation, Stanford Center of International Development (SCID), the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (SEED), and Graduate Research Opportunities, among others. I was the Bradley Fellow, the Pre-doctoral Fellow at Stanford Center at Peking University, Huoshui Young Scholar of AliResearch, and I am currently the Guest Researcher of the Alibaba Research Center for Rural Dynamics.
